Raise awareness, help staff and students in need and boost wellbeing in your school this 10 October…

World Mental Health Day was started by the World Federation for Mental Health and was celebrated for the first time on October 10, 1992.

It takes place on this date each year, and the theme for 2019 is suicide prevention. According to the WHO, more than 800,000 people a year die from suicide, making it the principal cause of death among people aged 15-29.

But it is, of course, something that affects people of all ages, including children, so awareness and prevention is key.
