Become more confident to safely manage a mental health crisis within the school environment.
  1. Know the different ways mental ill health can present, and be able to identify symptoms of anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal thinking, eating disorders, psychosis, and PTSD.
  2. Be aware of the treatment guidelines and the necessary support to facilitate recovery from one of these mental health conditions.
  3. Be aware of the clinical guidelines to safely manage different mental health crisis’s – panic attacks, incidents of self-harm, a presentation of psychosis, a PTSD flashback, a disclosure of suicide intent or an overdose situation.
  4. Know where to find excellent resources for these disorders, to support pupils and parents, to keep safe and well.
Our mental health awareness course is a practical and interactive small-group, 15-hour, online workshop, delivered across four mornings (UK time) via Zoom. Ideal for safe-guarding leads, mental health leads, school nurses, pastoral staff, and house parents.
